Material and Construction Quality
Let's get into the specifics that matter most for durability.
Hoodie Construction
The signature New Heights hoodie uses a 12 oz, 80/20 cotton-poly blend. The cotton gives it breathability; the polyester adds strength and color retention. I inspected the stitching - double-needle on the main seams, reinforced stress points at the pocket corners. The drawstring is flat cotton, not the cheap round cord that frays.
Tee Shirt Quality
The basic tee is a 6 oz, 100% ringspun cotton. Ringspun cotton has longer fibers twisted tightly, which reduces pilling and fading. After ten washes, my test shirt still feels soft and the screen print hasn't cracked. One caveat: the white tee is slightly translucent, so dark underwear shows through. Size up or go with a darker color.
Hat Build
The trucker cap is made with a wool-like front panel, not cheap acrylic. The bill has a slight curve that holds shape without bending out of form. The snapback closure uses plastic snaps that click securely. I've worn mine on windy beach days and it stayed put.
